1. ONLINE BOOKING AND CONTRACTING CONDITIONS

For the purpose of online reservations through this website, accommodation services are provided, depending on the selected hotel, by the following companies of the chic&basic group (hereinafter, collectively, the “Group”):

Additionally, the Group operates other hotel establishments in Spain, Portugal, and Budapest (Hungary), whose operating companies and full identification will be indicated during the booking process and/or in the corresponding confirmation email.
The accommodation contract is always concluded between the customer and the operating company of the selected hotel, whose details will appear in the booking confirmation.
1.2. Booking process
a) The user selects hotel, dates of stay, number of guests and room type, as well as the available rate that best suits their needs.
b) Before completing the reservation, a summary will be displayed including: hotel, dates, number of guests, room type, board basis, total price (including applicable taxes and fees or duly itemized), and the rate conditions (cancellation, payment, and penalties).
c) The user must enter their personal details and the details of a valid credit/debit card as a guarantee and/or payment method, depending on the chosen rate.
d) The reservation is considered completed when the user clicks the “Confirm reservation” button (or equivalent) and the system displays the confirmation on screen.
e) The customer will receive a confirmation email with the essential booking details and a link or reference to these Contracting Conditions.
f) Contract Archiving: The service provider (the hotel operator) informs you that the electronic document formalizing the reservation contract will be archived and will be accessible to the customer via the confirmation link sent by email.
It is the customer’s responsibility to review the confirmation and promptly report any errors or discrepancies.
1.3. Payment method and authorization of charges
The customer guarantees that the credit/debit card details provided are correct and that they are authorized to use it.
The customer expressly authorizes the hotel to charge their credit/debit card for:
- Amounts corresponding to the selected rate type (deposit, prepayment, or advance charge as applicable);
- amounts derived from the cancellation and no-show policy;
- additional consumption and services during the stay (minibar, restaurant, late check-out, etc.), in accordance with the issued invoice.
1.4. Rate types and specific conditions
Unless otherwise indicated in the offer itself, the following rates apply per room and per night and include taxes in force in the country of the hotel, without prejudice to tourist taxes or other mandatory surcharges that will be communicated before confirming the reservation.
The following rates apply legally to the Group except for Hotel chic&basic Lemon:
a) Free Cancellation Rate (Web Exclusive) – 24 hours
- Free cancellation: Up to 24 hours before arrival day.
- Reservation must be guaranteed with a credit card.
- Penalty:
- Cancellations made after that period, or
- no show → the amount equivalent to the first night will be charged.
b) Free Cancellation Rate – 48 hours
- Free cancellation: Up to 48 hours before arrival day.
- Reservation must be guaranteed with a credit card.
- Penalty:
- Cancellations made after that period, or
- no show → the amount equivalent to the first night will be charged.
The following rates apply to Hotel chic&basic Lemon (CHIC&BASIC LEMON, S.L. – Calle Pelayo 6, 08001, Barcelona – NIF: B09868779):
a1) Free Cancellation Rate (Web Exclusive) – 24 hours
- Free cancellation: Up to 24 hours before arrival day.
- Reservation must be guaranteed with a credit card.
- Penalty:
- Cancellations made after that period, or
- no show → the amount equivalent to the first night will be charged.
- Advance charge: 24 hours before arrival, the amount of the first night will be charged to the card. The customer will receive a notification confirming this charge.
b1) Free Cancellation Rate – 48 hours
- Free cancellation: Up to 48 hours before arrival day.
- Reservation must be guaranteed with a credit card.
- Penalty:
- Cancellations made after that period, or
- no show → the amount equivalent to the first night will be charged.
- Advance charge: 48 hours before arrival, the amount of the first night will be charged to the card. The customer will receive a notification confirming this charge.
c) Long Stay Rate
- All reservations require a deposit of 100% of the stay at the time of booking.
- The total amount of the stay will be charged to the card provided at the time the reservation is made.
- Non-refundable reservation:
- Cancellation is not permitted;
- In case of cancellation, modification, or no show, the deposit will not be refunded.
d) Non-Refundable Rate
- All reservations require a deposit of 100% of the stay at the time of booking.
- The total amount will be charged to the credit/debit card provided when the booking is formalized.
- Non-refundable reservation:
- In case of cancellation, modification, or no show, the deposit will not be refunded.
e) Free Cancellation Rate – 5 days before arrival (Web Exclusive)
- Free cancellation: Up to 5 days before arrival.
- Penalty:
- Cancellations made less than 5 days in advance, or
- no show → 100% of the reservation will be charged.
- Advance charge: 5 days before arrival, the total amount will be charged to the card. The customer will receive a notification confirming the charge.
f) Free Cancellation Rate – 7 days before arrival
- Free cancellation: Up to 7 days before arrival.
- Penalty:
- Cancellations made less than 7 days in advance, or
- no show → 100% of the reservation will be charged.
- Advance charge: 7 days before arrival, the total amount will be charged with prior notification.
g) Free Cancellation Rate – 25 days before arrival (Web Exclusive)
- Free cancellation: Up to 25 days before arrival.
- Penalty:
- Cancellations made less than 25 days in advance, or
- no show → 100% of the reservation will be charged.
- Advance charge: 25 days before arrival, the total amount will be charged, with customer notification.
h) Free Cancellation Rate – 30 days before arrival
- Free cancellation: Up to 30 days before arrival.
- Penalty:
- Cancellations made less than 30 days in advance, or
- no show → 100% of the reservation will be charged.
- Advance charge: 30 days before arrival, the total amount will be charged, with customer notification.
1.5. No show and early departures
A no show is considered to occur when the customer does not arrive at the hotel on the scheduled arrival date and has not canceled the reservation within the applicable time limits for the selected rate.
In such cases, the penalties indicated for each rate type will apply, and the hotel may automatically cancel the remaining stay if so provided in the rate conditions.
In case of early departure (check-out before the planned date), the conditions of the reserved rate will apply. For non-refundable or fully prepaid rates, unused nights will not be refunded.

1.7. Taxes, fees, and currency
The prices shown during the booking process indicate whether they include the taxes in force in the country of the hotel (e.g., VAT/Portuguese VAT) and any applicable tourist taxes or mandatory surcharges. Any local tax payable directly at the hotel will be indicated before confirmation.
The charge and payment currency will be the currency of the country where the hotel is located, unless otherwise indicated during the booking process or if a Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) service is offered, which is always optional for the customer.
1.8. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with Article 103. l) of Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16, approving the revised text of the General Law for the Protection of Consumers and Users, the right of withdrawal shall not apply to contracts for the provision of accommodation services for purposes other than housing if the contracts specify a specific date or period of performance. Therefore, the customer does not have the 14-day right of withdrawal. However, the customer may cancel or modify their reservation in accordance with the deadlines and penalties indicated for the selected rate and accepted at the time of booking.
1.9. Additional Information Regarding Bookings
a) Technical Means for Correcting Errors: Prior to final confirmation of the reservation, the website provides the user with a summary screen that allows them to review and modify the information entered. If the user detects an error after confirmation, they must immediately notify the hotel using the contact information provided in the confirmation email.
b) Language of the Contract: The contract will be formalized in Spanish. However, the provider may offer translations of these Terms and Conditions into other languages.
c) Codes of Conduct: The provider is not bound by any code of conduct, except for the hospitality and tourism industry regulations applicable in each jurisdiction.
2. RULES AND POLICIES OF THE ESTABLISHMENT
2.1. Use of the Room and Items
Any items from the minibar or complimentary items that are consumed or removed from the room will be charged to the guest’s account at the retail price listed in the price list available in the room. Removal of the complimentary bottle (if applicable) from the room will incur a charge of 15 euros (retail price).
2.2. Behavior and General Rules
The guest agrees to comply with the establishment’s rules. In the event of serious non-compliance or damage to the facilities, the hotel may retain the 200-euro deposit charged upon check-in. The deposit will be withheld only to the extent necessary to cover the material damage caused and any extraordinary cleaning or repair costs. If the cost of the damage is less than the deposit, the difference will be refunded. If the cost is higher, the hotel reserves the right to claim the additional amount.
2.3. Tourist tax
The guest authorizes a charge for the tourist tax, the amount of which will be itemized prior to booking confirmation. The final amount charged will be the rate legally in effect in the municipality and for the hotel’s category at the time of check-in; the hotel may not charge an amount higher than that established by local regulations.
2.4. Safety and Valuables
We provide a safe in your room to ensure the security of any valuables you may bring, with a maximum coverage of 1,200 euros in case of theft.
Under no circumstances will the hotel be responsible for valuables not deposited in the safe.
2.5. Non-Smoking Policy
This is a smoke-free property. In accordance with current legislation, smoking is prohibited on the premises. In the event of a violation of this prohibition, the hotel reserves the right to charge the guest a fee for specialized cleaning and deodorization of the room, amounting to 600 euros. This charge does not constitute an administrative penalty, but rather compensation for the direct and indirect costs incurred to restore the room to a habitable condition.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the consent of the data subject, in accordance with the provisions of Article 6.1.a of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), granted by voluntarily sending the resume.
The personal data provided will be kept for a maximum period of one (1) year from receipt. At the end of this period, the data will be securely deleted, unless the candidate has expressly authorized its storage for a longer period.
Under no circumstances will the data be used for purposes other than the selection process, nor will it be transferred to third parties, unless legally required.
The interested party may exercise their rights of access, rectification, deletion, opposition, limitation of processing, and portability at any time by sending a request to the email address indicated above.
