Our Hostal chic&basic Tallers is located in the Raval quarter, within the Ciutat Vella (Old City) district, right on the border with the Eixample neighbourhood.

Staying in the Raval and Eixample quarter at the same time. Having an accommodation in Raval means connecting with the energy of the old part of the city of Barcelona. Narrow and tangled streets, full of shops and mythical places, with bars and restaurants that are open until dawn.


Advantages of our Hostal in the Raval quarter

Thanks to the excellent location of our hostal/guesthouse in Raval you can easily reach any point in the city on foot or by bicycle (50 minutes on foot at most).

You will be perfectly connected by public transport with connections to the red and purple metro lines in Plaza Universidad square (L1 and L2, respectively), the red and green lines in Plaza de Cataluña square (L1 and L3), and all the buses on Gran Vía avenue, in addition to the regional trains.

Only one kilometre from the hostal you will reach the Paseo de Gracia station from where you can take the yellow metro line (L2) and several regional trains for day trips around the area of Barcelona.

Staying with us means staying exactly in the heart of the city, a few steps away from Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas, with La Boquería market, but also Paseo de Gracia avenue with some of the most exclusive shops in the city, and the museum area of ​​the 'MACBA' and the 'CCCB', where skaters from all over the world come to practice their tricks.

La Boquería
This is one of the most famous markets in Barcelona and without a doubt, one of the most photographed sights of the city. It is only 11 minutes walking from our hostal.


El Eixample
Eixample is as its name indicates in Spanish, "the extension" of the city, conveniently planned with wide streets that are organised in a grid, full of light and housing the most majestic buildings.


Paseo de Gracia
Staying at our hostal in the Raval quarter but very close to the Eixample has the advantage that in just a few steps you can reach one of the most representative promenades in Barcelona, ​​full of the most exclusive shops in the city. Paseo de Gracia avenue divides the Eixample quarter in two. On the left you will find 'Paral·lel' street and also the new fashionable area around the recently renovated Sant Antoni market. On the right, the Sagrada Familia and other mythical works of Catalan modernism such as the 'Casa de Las Punxes'. In the middle, La Pedrera and the 'Manzana de la Discordia' city block with 'Casa Milà' and 'Casa Batlló', among others.

 

How to get to chic&basic Tallers

By car
After entering the city, follow 'Gran Vía de Les Corts Catalanas' until you reach 'Plaza Universidad'. You will find our reception at 'Carrer Pelayo' number 6.

By metro
There are two metro stations close to our hostal: 'Plaza Catalunya' (Line L1 or L3) and 'Universitat' (Line L1 or L2).

By bus
From the airport you can take the A1 or A2 'Aerobus' and get off at the Universitat stop, after 120 metres on foot you will reach the reception of our chic&basic Lemon Hotel (Pelayo street 6) where you can check-in to enter our Hostal in Tallers street.

By train
If you arrive in Barcelona by train you can reach our hostal by metro or on foot (depending on where your train stops) by going to 'Plaza Catalunya' and then walking up 'Calle Pelayo' street until you reach our reception at number 6.
